Power your adventures with Jackery.

Those of you that follow our Instagram account already, won’t be surprised at the fact we love to travel – especially with the dogs in tow. A few months back we were lucky enough to test the Jackery 500 solar generator, and have since upgraded our set up to the 1000 solar generator.

The power packs feel super solid and durable, but are surprisingly portable.

The solar panels are compact and lightweight, they fold away and are easy to carry. We’ve had a few comments on them already when we’ve been out and about.

We have managed a few trips in the van over the past few months, and it’s been really good to try the Jackery generators out whilst on the road.

We love to camp in more remote places, the only downfall usually being that we have a serious lack of power and light – but no more! We can keep our devices charged, power our lights, and even keep our fridge running for a few hours without the worry of running low on juice.

When we first got the solar panels out to use I was sceptical as to how much sunlight they would actually convert to power, especially being in the U.K. – it’s rare we get direct sunlight without a cloud blocking the rays – I was pleasantly surprised!

We’ve managed to get the input up to around 53watts on a partially cloudy morning, which is pretty impressive considering the output used to charge your mobile is only around 8watts. You can also plug two USB devices directly into the solar panels to charge if you wanted.

Key points that we love:

LED torch: perfect for guidance on your nighttime pee break whilst wild camping (we’ve all done it)

3 x USB charging points on the power pack: room for both mine and Joe’s phone to charge, and also my camera – something we’ve struggled with when wild camping in the past, only managing to charge them whilst we’re driving.

Solar Panels: absolute game changer!! Renewable energy is something that we’re really trying to incorporate into our van build. We can put the solar panels onto the roof of the van, or even pop them at the side with the handy pull-out stands they have on the back, meaning we can keep the Jackery topped up with energy even whilst we’re out on the road.

Easy to transport: the Jackery and solar panels are so easy to carry, meaning it’s easy to charge your devices wherever you need them.

Display screen: easily keep track of your Jackery power levels and how much energy is being input/output.
